Rigger's Belt <BR>(RGB)

Rigger's Belt (RGB)

Made in the USA

The Need:
Troops need heavy belts to hang their holsters and pouches. Some want a belt that is flexible and comfortable and others want them rigid to support the weight of a sidearm. This belt offers the user a flexibility and comfort not available in a stiff riggers style belt.

The Answer:
We have created a new line with a wide variety of belt styles to fit everyone’s needs. And, for those we overlooked, we will custom build sizes to suit their needs. The belts are constructed of Type 13 webbing, MS22040 forged steel buckles, and sewn with parachute weight thread to a 7,000 lb. breaking strength.

The story behind the "V-RING"
The rigger’s belt has become popular as an emergency rappel seat because of the forged steel V-ring built into the belt. While the belt is strong enough to support a man’s weight, we want to point out that this is not the use we intend it for. The ring can be useful when a sniper lying on a slippery rooftop or a troop on a chopper skid ride needs a point to clip into a safety line. And when hooking into an approved climbing/rappelling harness, it will not hurt to pass the carabiner through the V-ring for that extra ounce of security. But for those who want to use this belt as a rappelling seat, please realize that while the belt around your waist is strength rated, there are no leg straps and the only thing holding the belt to your waist are your belt loops (and we have yet to see a pair of pants that come with strength ratings). If the belt does not separate and end up in your armpits, you will at least have the wedgie of a lifetime.
